In 1985 a new Aero 80 hit the market. It got a complete facelift and I think its the best looking one. This blue scooter looked pretty nice when I picked it up , but it had sat for years under a leaky tarp which allowed water into the engine. The bottom end was really rusty and it took a long time to get everything cleaned up. I rebuilt the engine, replacing the crank bearings and seals and over boring the cylinder to fit a new piston and rings. And of course I painted the wheels black and spooned new tires on there. I was really impressed with the results on this one, it rode like a new scooter. I added an aftermarket reed set and upjetted the carb which really made it sing! |
Kyle has such passion for his work at Hyde Park Scooters. On top of his passion, he is extremely talented! I found an '85 Honda Aero 50 on craigslist last year, and I was so blessed that it came from Kyle and Hyde Park Scooters. I reached out to Kyle about the scooter in the ad, and drove down to Austin to see it the next day. I bought an beauty off of Kyle earlier last year - one of the best purchases I have made. The scooter has ran extremely well, and if I had any questions about it, Kyle always was able to help me out. Recently, I had a routine maintenance request for Kyle with the Aero 50 - I am no scooter expert, so I reached out to Kyle. He was extremely flexible with handling my request, and took care of the remedy for me. In today's day and age, there a few people that have both business integrity and expertise. Kyle is one of those few - I highly recommend Kyle and Hyde Park Scooters.
